SASSA Takes Expert Services to Fernie Community
Tuesday, August 27, 2024
The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently visiting the Fernie 2 Local community Hall in Mpuluzi to render providers for the community.
SASSA might be rendering solutions for instance new social grant applications, change of payment method, customer care enquiries, and also the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.
In a statement, the agency claimed it is alarmed with regard to the higher range of people relying on social grants for survival.
“The purpose of the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to here the superior range of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.
“This is certainly because of the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there is no completely functional office committed to service the area regularly. The assistance place made for intervention activities a substantial influx of possible beneficiaries, which makes it complicated for that office to attend to all people who go to a service point.
“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise more means to empower the servicing of all buyers and improve usage of Social Assistance products and services,” the agency said.
